About

Jodie Metcalfe is a jewellery designer and maker with over 10 years experience within the jewellery industry and qualifications in 3d design.

Jodie explores the endless textures and subtleties metals can hold with a particular interest in metals in their natural form. Jodie uses heat and pressure to work the metal into a composition that replicates and directly translates structures in prospected Gold and Silver deposits. This is a style that runs through Jodies work with the inclusion of precious and semi- precious gemstones. These processes lend themselves to one of a kind items, never to be replicated exactly, creating jewellery unique to you. Every piece is made by hand and will therefore have its own individual characteristics.

It is important that every piece is made from recycled Gold and Silver. All precious and semi precious gemstones are either hand fossicked by Jodie , vintage or responsibly mined from trusted sources. A large amount of gemstones used in Jodies work have been responsibly prospected and cut in Australia. Minimal Human and environmental impact is the ethos of Jodie Metcalfe Jewellery, constantly working to improve practices and processes in line with a more sustainable future is essential.

Now based in the highlands of Scotland, Jodie takes inspiration form the wild environment and geology surrounding her studio.
